Privacy policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This privacy policy describes how Certamen Reader collects data, stores data, and shares information when you use this service.

What we collect
Cookies and browser storage

One cookie keeps you signed in, for up to 7 days. Your settings and your current session's stats are kept in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.

Who can see your information

Your username and performance points can appear on the leaderboard and on your profile, which other signed-in users can view. If you set a school, it is shown next to your name in team multiplayer rooms and used to place you on your school's team. Your email address is never shown to other users. The site administrator can see account and practice data in order to run the site and fix problems.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from Settings. It is deactivated straight away, and you're signed out on every device and your profile and leaderboard entry are hidden. After 30 days your account and everything tied to it (practice history, stars, ratings and uploaded packets) is permanently deleted. Signing back in before then cancels the deletion.

You can clear your school in Settings at any time.

Students under 13

Students under 13 are not permitted to sign up for a Certamen Reader account without parental approval. If a parent believes that their child has provided personal information, contact me and I will delete it.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, the date above will change too. If you have questions, please email ribhusonthi2@gmail.com.
